HOlDAYS!!!

Ok, so I love the christmas season! The music (and I am not talking about the slow, sitting by the fire songs) is so cheerful. The smells that come from the kitchen because of the christmas party that happens every other day. The decorations that cast a white, green, and red glow on every single object in town. The long lines of children so happy, and the oblivious parents who think they are hiding the gifts perfectly in the buggy but the child knows anyway. OH.......The Joys of Christmas!

Thanksgiving!

OMW!!! I can't believe it is almost thanksgiving break and then after that there is only 2 1/2 weeks of school! Time really does fly! I mean it is crazy to think that my first semester in college is almost over! That I dont have much more time to do the things I want to with my friends! We had so many things that we thought about doing. Yeah, we did a few of them and a few fell thru because of money and studying, but we still tried to do 50 billion fun things on the weekends!

People say college is the best time of your life and I really do have to agree with them. So.....I can't wait for the new semester!

Annotated Bibliography

Ok, so i got assigned in my history class to do an annotated bibliography. When I first heard the word, I was like what is that? I know I am supposed to be in college, but...HUH? I was so confused. So I finally read the description and figured out I had to write 10 summaries with opinions on 10 books that I only spend 10-15 minutes inside of. Pretty much I had to write a summary with an opinion on a book that I read but don't read at all.

This mid boggled me. I had no idea what to do and how to do this. We finally got ahold of some examples, but I just didnt understand. So, I said I was just going to have to start and find my way thru some way and not die before I had even started (which is what I did with my midterm essay for the class). Well, it is due tomorrow and yes, I figured out exactly how to do it. I dont think I am going to get an A but I will not fail either. (oh, I am also doing this to avoid doing my last summary. Gotta love how other classes can serve as a distraction for other classes!!!!!!)

Crunch Time!!!

As we are nearing the end of the school year I realize that I have like 4 or 5 projects that are no where even near done!!! Some I haven't even started on. So, now my brain is in like overload drive and trying to figure out when I can do any of these things. Like today after taking a shower, I am going to go chain myself to one of the desks in the library and get my annotated bibliography done for World Civ. This helps me to free up next sunday to go and do community service for my ASL (American Sign Language) class. Oh, as well as I have to start thinking of something to do for my ASL presentation. Which in my head it seems impossible to talk for 5 minutes in ASL when I have only taken 1 semester of it. But apparently other people have already done it, so can I!

And really getting all this work done is a matter of not making it bigger than it is and deciding not to watch the new movie that my roommate brought with her after break. It is also not getting the mind set that this is too big for me and not getting myself overwhelmed and feeling like I have taken on more than I can handle! I guess the point I am trying to make is.....that as long as I stay positive and don't over think this situation, then I can get this done in no time at all!

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions!

So, I have to write an essay for one of my classes for a midterm. It normally wouldn't stress me out......but.....I am doing not that good in that class and I really need to do well on that essay. You say, "ok, then just make a really good essay and you should be fine." Well.......I haven't told you the whole story.......see.......I know what the topic is, but I don't know where to start with the essay.

The essay is on modernity and technical specialization in the early 19th century. Most people in the class would have no problem with this essay because they are history majors and have been studying this stuff in their spare time during high school. I on the other hand have been......well.....I have been studying other things and dont really care about writing a philosophical essay on that subject. I would really rather die than try to come up with something for this essay......No......I really dont want to die, but I dont want to do the essay either.

So, what am I supposed to do.......am I supposed to BS the essay when I get into class.......or really research it and get a better grade?

Oh.......goodness.......this weekend is going to be long and DEFINITELY boring!

PROCRASTINATION......dont we all do it!

I really have no idea what to write right now! I am so bored. And I actually just remembered that I had to write on my blog.

Ever have those days where the morning was really productive and then the afternoon just........nothing happens! And you really had intentions to be really productive the WHOLE day but after the morning you just couldn't do it anymore. Its not like you wanted to have the afternoon be a total dud, but you just happened to get to watching trailers on youtube and oh you decided to go and eat at a mexican restaurant for....just 2 HOURS!!! "But the morning was productive," you tell yourself.

Then the end of the day comes and you realize that you can talk about the morning all you want but in the end you have to face the facts..........

YOU DID NOT READ ANYTHING OF THE 60 PAGES YOU HAD TO READ FOR WORLD CIVILIZATIONS.....EVEN THOUGH YOU KNEW YOU WOULD HAVE NO OTHER TIME TO READ IT BEFORE THE CLASS ON TUESDAY!!!! FAIL!!!!!

(well, I guess I figured out what to write on)

ROADTRIP!!!

Ok......so yesterday I went to Alabama to meet my best friends grandmother who is moving to Florida today! Clarissia(my best friend) hadnt seen her grandma in a while and really wanted to go see her before she wouldnt be able to see her until thanksgiving break. So I volunteered to take her. Clarissia, Marissa, Megan and I climbed into the car yesterday morning and took a hour and half drive to Huntsville/Woodville, AL, area.

The trip took on another purpose when I realized that a friend from college lives out there. I talked to her and we ended up hanging together Sabbath afternoon. It was such a blast. She and her friend, Daniel took me and marissa and megan to a really cool park in downtown huntsville and then we went to a mall for rich people and then ate supper together.

We didnt get home till like 11pm, but we had so much fun and had a blast exploring new places and getting lost.
